From time to time churches ask us for help to either recruit a permanent organist, or to find a deputy for a particular service.

Organists Online is a website that vacancies or requests for organists can be placed on or you can search for organists to approach.

St John the Evangelist, Redhill, Surrey, is seeking to fill two positions from 30th October 2017 to help develop our music using traditional and modern hymns and contemporary worship songs.  Remuneration in line with RSCM scales.

Director of Music
Plan music and conduct for Sunday, seasonal and special services, weddings and funerals.
Promote and run the RSCM Voice for Life scheme, Bishop's and Dean's Awards.
Lead music practices (supported by the Organist).
Shortlisted candidates for the post of Director of Music will be invited to rehearse the choir for 20 minutes on the evening of Friday 22 September. Interviews will be held on the morning of Saturday 23 September.

Resident Organist
Play for Sunday, seasonal and special services, weddings and funerals as required (the church has a fine Fr. Willis organ, piano and electric piano which are all used in worship).
Support the Director of Music with music and choir practices.
Shortlisted candidates for the post of Organist will be interviewed on the evening of Friday 6 October.

St John's has a fine and varied musical tradition which we hope to expand further. Our appreciative congregation supports a strong SATB choir including many well trained and able under 18s, diverse Instrumental Group including singers, solo instrumentalists and men's and women's singing groups.

We are the Parish Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Bletchingley and we are looking for a charismatic musician with a gift for teaching and inspiring our choir and congregation. We have a vision of our choir becoming a centre of excellence for music for the people of Bletchingley, working with our local young people to offer the best possible musical education whilst still developing our adult choir members.
